Sorry to have been so neglectful lately; as I mentioned a few posts ago I was recently laid off and haven't felt like blogging in the meantime. There hasn't been much excitement to report on, although I will tell you about one trip I've taken (to Providence, RI) in another post.
My days are mostly spent looking for jobs to apply to and then applying. I've also rediscovered my love for cross stitching and am currently working on a massive project; attempted to sew (a bit, and only slightly successfully) with my wonderful brand new sewing machine; tried a few new recipes; read (mostly for my book club, although also some scientific papers and skimmed textbooks to keep my brain working); stayed up-to-date with the TV shows Heroes, The Office, 30 Rock, Psych, and Battlestar Galactica; and watched far too much of the original Star Trek (Netflix instant play is a wonderful thing).
I've had two in-person interviews plus one phone interview, and they've all gone well. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one of those will turn into a job opportunity for me, or that something spectacular will come along.
While I'm waiting, I'll try to keep this updated slightly more frequently.
